Nusrat Hasan joined NSU in the spring of 2007 as a BBA student. From the eginning, she was more inclined toward marketing and management, leading her to pursue a double major in HRM & Marketing. Having completed her schooling across India, the USA, and Bangladesh, Nusrat cherishes her four years at NSU the most, as it provided her with the perfect blend of academic studies and extracurricular activities. Throughout her time at the university, she actively participated in NSUSS and regularly performed in cultural events. Reflecting on her time at NSU, Nusrat fondly remembers the classes she took in Marketing and HRM, with many of the learnings still resonating with her to this day. Though it feels like only yesterday, a decade has already passed since her last class at NSU campus. Over the past 12 years, she has built a successful career, working in major hair oil brands, sugar confectionery brands, household products, and footwear. In 2011, Nusrat embarked on her corporate journey as a Management Trainee at Marico Bangladesh Ltd., where she spent nearly five years working in brands. She then transitioned to Perfetti Van Melle Bangladesh, initially focusing on market research and media and later assuming the role of Senior Category Manager. After four years at Perfetti, she joined Godrej Household Products Ltd as the Marketing Lead, overseeing a diverse portfolio of insecticides, personal care, and household care. Seeking new challenges, Nusrat ventured into the world of organized footwear retail, joining one of the leading footwear brands in the country, Bata. Her experience in core FMCG had prepared her to take on this role, allowing her to stretch her comfort zone. She spent a fruitful 1.5 years at Bata, which granted her the opportunity to lead the Marketing department. Furthermore, she recently took on the additional responsibility of Interim Regional Marketing Head, coordinating marketing activities across Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, as part of the APAC region.
