NSU Successfully Hosts Erasmus Mundus Association-Bangladesh Symposium Series 2024 Webinar

On Sunday, 6 October 2024, the Office of External Affairs of North South University (NSU) in collaboration with the Erasmus Mundus Association-Bangladesh, successfully held an informative and well-attended webinar as part of the Erasmus Mundus Association-Bangladesh Symposium Series 2024. The session, titled "A Road to Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) and Erasmus Mundus Scholarship," attracted prospective postgraduate applicants from across the country.

The webinar featured two accomplished Erasmus scholars—Arghya Kamol Roy (EMSHIP+ 2022–2024) and SM Faysal Ahmed (META4.0 2023–2025)—who shared their first-hand experiences navigating the Erasmus Mundus journey. Their insights into choosing programs, preparing competitive applications, and adapting to life across multiple European universities provided attendees with a realistic and motivating perspective.

Participants learned about the unique structure of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programs, which require students to study in at least two different universities across Europe. The speakers also highlighted that Bangladesh ranked 3rd globally in the number of scholarship recipients for the 2024–2026 cycle, with 119 awardees—a testament to the country’s growing presence in international academia.

The session concluded with a lively Q&A segment, where participants received personalized advice on eligibility, scholarship benefits (up to €51,000), and strategies to strengthen their applications.

This successful event reaffirmed NSU's ongoing commitment to internationalization and empowering students with global academic opportunities.
