From NSU to the World Stage: Celebrating Our Alumna Samanzar Sayeed

North South University proudly celebrates alumna Samanzar Sayeed, who is currently representing Bangladesh at the 73rd Miss World Festival in Vietnam.

Crowned Miss World Bangladesh 2026, Samanzar has carried with her much more than a crown. A graduate of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at North South University, she has distinguished herself through academic excellence, research, athletics, music, dance and community engagement.

Her journey reflects the spirit of an NSU graduate who believes that excellence can take many forms.

Beyond the spotlight, Samanzar is using the global platform to advocate for something deeply meaningful: public health and preventive healthcare. Through her Beauty With a Purpose initiative, Hygiene for Health Bangladesh, she is championing hygiene awareness, sanitation and healthier communities across Bangladesh.

From the research environment at NSU to an international stage in Vietnam, her journey is a testament to the power of knowledge, purpose, confidence and determination.

As Samanzar represents Bangladesh alongside contestants from around the world, the entire NSU community stands with her with immense pride.
