North South University (NSU) has released the findings of its latest Alumni Employability Survey, highlighting strong post-graduation employment-success outcomes among graduates from Batch 2016, Batch 2017, and Batch 2018. An impressive 84.1% of responding graduates are currently employed. The survey examined employment status, further study enrollment, and workforce participation of alumni at least 18 months after completing their degrees, offering a data-driven reliable insight into graduate career choices.
The Employability Survey was conducted between October 2024 and December 2024 and targeted 4,278 graduates from the selected cohorts. Alumni were contacted through institutional records and structured follow-ups, resulting in 1,496 completed responses—representing a response rate of approximately 35%
This timeframe aligns with international graduate outcomes survey practices, allowing sufficient time for alumni to transition into employment, further education, or alternative post-graduation pathways.
Key Findings: High Employment Among Respondents
Among the 1,496 respondents:
- 1,259 graduates (84.1%) were employed
- 123 graduates (8.2%) were unemployed and seeking work
- 88 graduates (5.9%) were pursuing full-time further studies
- 27 graduates (1.8%) were unavailable for work
These results indicate strong employability outcomes for NSU graduates who participated in the survey, with the majority successfully integrated into the workforce at the time of data collection

Employment outcomes were categorized using transparent definitions covering employed graduates, unemployed graduates actively seeking work, those enrolled in full-time further study, and alumni withholding employment due to personal reasons such as health issues or parental leave
NSU regularly conducts alumni outcome surveys to assess graduate success, guide academic planning, and strengthen career development initiatives, while supporting engagement with international ranking agencies such as QS. The University remains committed to enhancing graduate employability through curriculum innovation, industry collaboration, and comprehensive career services.
